I got into pickleball back in 2022 when my son came home raving about this game they played at school. I was like, "What's pickleball?" We went to our local courts and played together, and guess what? I absolutely loved it! I missed the whole competitive sports vibe, and pickleball filled that gap perfectly. Started playing casually, got better, and eventually, I found myself in tournaments. The first couple were a bit of a bummer – no medals. But that just made me want to up my game. Next tournament? Boom! My partner and I not only snagged a medal but went for the gold! Woohoo! Now, I've got a bunch more medals, and my drive to level up just keeps on growing.

Why coaching? Well, I've always had a blast coaching my kids in various sports leagues. On top of that, I spent six years as an adjunct college professor, guiding undergrads. Also, being a former college athlete, I've seen great examples of coaches. There's something about helping people improve and pushing them to reach their potential that just clicks with me. I'm outgoing with a positive attitude that tends to rub off on those I'm teaching. Now, I'm eager to channel this teaching enthusiasm into a game I'm passionate about.
